PROJECT STORY

The Porsche 718 GT4 RS is a track-focused model of the 718 lineup, powered by a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine, borrowed from the 911 GT3, producing 493 horsepower and revving to 9,000 RPM. Paired with a seven-speed PDK transmission (or optional six-speed manual), it accelerates from 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 196 mph. The car features lightweight components like a carbon-fiber hood, optional forged magnesium wheels, and a fixed rear wing, generating 25% more downforce than the standard GT4. Its chassis includes Porsche Active Suspension Management and rear-axle steering for precise handling. As the first RS variant in the 718 Cayman series, it combines mid-engine agility with race-derived technology, offering a balance of road usability and track performance. This GT4RS owned by Jason, modified by Overdrive Tuning located in Richmond BC Canada, is equipped with Forgelite ML04 forged monoblock wheels in Satin Black Diamond, sized 20 inches front and 20 inches rear. The forged aluminum construction reduces weight, improving acceleration and handling by lowering unsprung mass. The staggered setup enhances traction, while the wheel design aids brake cooling. The satin finish resists brake dust, and custom engraved logos add a subtle personalized touch. These upgrades maintain the car’s engineering focus while refining its stance and performance, proving that aftermarket modifications can complement factory design without compromising functionality. The result is a 718 GT4 RS that remains true to its track-ready roots but with enhanced aesthetics and mechanical efficiency.
